Different types of down and down alternatives can be used in down duvets. Duvets usually contain the following types of down:
Duck Down: Compared to goose down duvets, duck down duvets are more affordable and accessible. Duck down is less fluffy than goose down, so it’s perfect for warmer climates and light weight duvets.
Goose Down: Pure, white, hypoallergenic goose down is used in many premium down-filled duvets. Since geese are larger birds, their down clusters are larger, denser and stronger, especially when they are plucked from mature birds.
Down & Feather Mixer: An excellent duvet filled with a nice combination of down and feathers. Feathers have the density and weight of down, while down has the insulating properties of down. Warmth for all seasons. For example, 50% down and 50% feather, 30% down and 70% feather, you can custom for your need, the price is cheaper than 100% down.

What is down?
In rodless feathers, down is composed of cluster filaments. It resembles dandelion seeds. The automatic moisture absorption and perspiration functions make it a symbol of nature, environmental protection, and health. Duck’s down and goose’s down are two types of down. Lightweight and fluffy, down has a fluffy appearance. Ducks, goose, and other waterfowl use it to keep warm. Due to its grease protection, down is not perishable. Down is not found in fowl, such as chickens.
What is the Difference between Down Feather and Feather?
Feather owns planar structure. Flying is carried out with it. Feathers have a protective function. The structure of down is three-dimensional. It is soft and fluffy, and it is useful for keeping warm.
How does Down Feather Keep Warm?
The three-dimensional structure of down enables it to “swell” and have enough space to keep you warm. In comparison with other artificial materials of the same weight, each filament is capable of fixing more air. In every ounce of down, there are approximately 2 million filaments. Overlapping and intertwining filaments form a covering layer of heat preservation and insulation. Human body heat will be quickly preserved by the layer.
